Skin Booster Treatment in Hyderabad – The Hydration Upgrade Your Skin Needs

Dr. Divya Siddavaram, MBBS, DDVL

Skin boosters are micro-injections of stabilised hyaluronic acid that deeply hydrate and refresh the skin from within. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume, boosters are about skin quality—hydration, elasticity and a natural glow.

In Hyderabad's humid climate and pollution, I find them especially useful for dry, dull or stressed skin.

What Are Skin Boosters and How Do They Work?

Skin boosters (e.g., Profhilo, Teosyal Redensity, Juvederm Volite) contain:

  • Hyaluronic acid in a bio-stimulatory form.
  • Sometimes added vitamins, amino acids or antioxidants.

When injected into the mid or deep dermis:

  • They bind water for deep hydration.
  • Stimulate collagen and elastin production.
  • Improve texture, fine lines and overall radiance.

Results build over 2–4 weeks and can last 6–12 months with maintenance.

Skin Concerns I Treat with Boosters

I use skin boosters for:

  • Dull, dehydrated skin lacking vitality.
  • Fine lines around mouth, eyes or forehead.
  • Post-procedure texture improvement (after lasers or peels).
  • Under-eye hollows and dark circles (cautiously).
  • Neck, hands or décolletage for crepiness and dryness.

They are excellent as preventative anti-ageing for healthy skin in the 30s and 40s.

What Happens in a Skin Booster Session?

  • Consultation: I assess hydration, elasticity and your goals.
  • Numbing: Topical anaesthetic for comfort.
  • Micro-injections: Multiple tiny injections across the treatment area using fine needles or cannulas.
  • Cooling: Ice packs to reduce any swelling.

Downtime: Minimal. Mild redness or bumps fade in hours. Makeup can often be applied the same day.

Sessions: Usually 2–3, 3–4 weeks apart, then maintenance every 6–9 months.

Myth-Busting: Skin Boosters

Myth 1: "Skin boosters are just fillers; they make you look puffy."

Reality: Boosters are lighter, more fluid hyaluronic acid designed for hydration and quality, not volume. They give a natural "dewy" effect, not swollen cheeks.

Myth 2: "They work instantly like a facial."

Reality: Results improve gradually over 2–4 weeks as collagen builds. Patience is key for lasting improvement.

Myth 3: "Anyone can do skin boosters; it's simple."

Reality: Correct depth, technique and product choice matter. Poor injection can cause lumps, migration or suboptimal results.

My Philosophy with Injectables

Practising at CARE Hospitals Hitec City and Tatva Skin Clinic Moosapet, I see patients across Hyderabad who want natural rejuvenation. For skin boosters:

  • Subtle enhancement over dramatic change.
  • Combined with lasers, peels or microneedling when needed.
  • FDA-approved products only, with precise technique.

If your skin feels tired or lacks radiance, skin boosters may be an excellent starting point. A consultation helps confirm if they are right for your skin type and goals.
